Newbi, Help With Setup (DNS)

I am going through the step by step tutorial and I just completed setting up my name servers. The tut states that I have to create the name servers with my registrar. I am a Directi reseller and I am using their ResellerClub CP, I tried to set the domain name servers and received this error.

NameServer ns.xxx.com is not a valid Nameserver

Can somebody help.

You need to “register” these nameservers before they will work

Go the domain properties for your servicedomain.com at directi..

Click on “Manage Child Nameservers”, and create all 4 name servers as they are created in HSphere

Thanks Yash that did it. Now all I need to do is wait for 72 hours right?

I have seen a new domain sometime resolving in few hours.

Oh 1 more thing, do I need to add an A Record for this domain at the registrar as well?

No, You don’t need to add “A” Record at Domain Registrar.

where are your domains registered?

Sorry, I dont have access to the domain resigrar interfaces we provide, only billing has this. Can you give me the domain name in a private message?
