No shutdown

After the Win7 shutdown issue I thought I’d post this little registry tweak.
It removes the Shut Down option from the Start menu without actually disallowing someone to shut down the computer.
I use it myself for some servers I have access to at our data center

Of course, you’re still pretty much screwed if you accidentally click ‘Disable’ on the main network interface rather than ‘Properties’, at least if you are using Remote Desktop or the like. One of them fancy networkable KVMs wouldn’t be bothered much

It was the first time for it to happen. but it was certainly not good!

We do actually need to shutdown from time to time for maintenance involoving Hd, ram, raid card etc, but i guess it could always be done via command line. However we talked to the tech that did it, before shutdown it has two confirmations, one for reason and one to ok that it will need to be turned back on, we really aren’t sure how he did both so quickly
