Once the DDOS was over today, I checked my site and it wasn’t coming up with the usual pages. I checked, and the index.asp as well as a couple other pages were missing from my site root directory. I replaced them no sweat and my site is up now as usual.
I also noticed that AWStats was turned off, which I had turned on on May 7. It appears to have been turned off on May 11 (yesterday) as that’s when the stats go down. I turned it back on, no sweat.
I know I didn’t do these things (delete files, turn AWStats off) and I don’t suspect that my account has been hacked, as I have not seen any other odd behaviour, and I suspect that a hacker would have done a lot worse than turn the stats off.
Oh, I’m on win5.
Anyone else have anything weird happen in the last couple days.
Yash, would this be related to the win5 hardware problem from yesterday (May 11)? It seems a bit odd.
No, no one has reported any similar issues to us via the ticket system either
I do not see anyway that could have happened. The Win5 issue was corrected after we ran a scandisk. Since then, there have been no problems on that server

If scandisk is configured to automatically fix problems, it will delete files that have become cross-linked or otherwise a problems. That might have been the case here.
Scandisk may have caused that but I really really doubt
You are saying that your files were deleted and Awstats repeatedly being turned off. Try changing your passwords and let me know your account username and I’ll monitor it myself
I enabled Awstats after the upgrade on several domains and they are all still enabled
