osCommerce - catalog images doesnt exist ?

Hi,

I have got a vanilla install of osCommerce running, but it says always in the pink error message text the following:

Catalog images directory does not exist: /catalog/images/

And obviously i cant upload any custom images. How do i get that to work ?

I should add that the directory does in fact exist. At least ./catalog/images does.
