Password protecting folders

Maybe this is just me…going through the HSphere protect wizard from file manager, I set up user ID and password for a folder. When you go to that folder, you get the expected UID/PW prompt. Fill it in, and you get the prompt again. Second time around, you’re in to the folder just fine. This is with Firefox 1.07, IE 6.whatever (latest), Safari, Opera…

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it something I might’ve done wrong? (Since I did this in simple mode, there’s not much room to screw up ;o) ).

This is under Linux, not Windows, btw.

it may have been incorrectly configured. Try deleting it and recreating it. if it still happens, please submit a ticket so we can check it out from the server side

Thanks, Yash. In my untiring, never-ending, and usually unsuccessful :smiley: attempt to educate myself, could you take a couple of minutes to clarify “incorrectly configured”? As in, would this mean I goofed somewhere? Or HSphere goofed somewhere?
