Permissions on front page webs

Has anyone successfully used the front page administration web to administer permissions on a site?

I’ve been having problems for several months with this. I’ve also had a ticket open for a LONG time about it.

Back before jodo moved back to 2000 servers I was able to do it without a problem. Now I can create users and assign permissions, but they cannot log in via front page. They can however log in via ftp fine.

Maybe I need to move to a new server or something. Any thoughts?

The intent of this post was really not to complain about the ticket not being answered. The ticket was answered, several times, there just has never been a solution.

I honestly want to know if anyone is successfully using the frontpage web administration site to create users and assign permissions.
