Hello,
I’ve got two sites on WIN21 that have gone up and down every day this week, or specifically since Saturday. I use a monitoring service that does head checks every 30 minutes or an hours and these two sites have been down for between 2-6 hours each day this week.
I am also getting very strange tracert results and random ASP errors. The tracert response is great until it hits cr1.mia004.inappnet.cr2.lax009.internap.net [66.79.146.245], at which point it jumps from 10-11 ms to 90-100. This is not normal and it looks like the request is slamming into a wall.
7 14 ms 9 ms 8 ms ae-1-0.pr0.lax10.tbone.rr.com [66.109.6.131]
8 10 ms 9 ms 11 ms 66.79.149.149
9 93 ms 91 ms 91 ms cr1.mia004.inappnet.cr2.lax009.internap.net [66.79.146.245]
10 78 ms 79 ms 77 ms core3.mia003.inappnet-427.cr1.mia003.internap.net [66.79.144.162]
The random ASP errors are just that random, the same page is working some times but not others. Here are some examples:
Error Number: -2147467259
Error IIS #: ASP 0241
Error Description: CreateObject
Error Number: -2147012894
Error IIS #:
Error Description: The operation timed out
Error Number: -2147467259
Error IIS #: ASP 0115
Error Description: Unexpected error
I’ve got one other site on this server which does not use any server side scripts and it has not been affected. I’ve submitted a trouble ticket on this everyday this week and only been told, “the sites are responding fine on my end please let us know if you need further assistance.” The last response on this ticket was on Tuesday and they said, “We shall check it out and update you.” 3 days later and still nothing and the problems persist.
I am pretty sure there is some issue here unrelated to the code that is server based. I have tested this site from several computers in several states and get the same result.
Has any one else had any of these problems? What is going on? Is this related to the router issues last week? Why is my ticket being ignored? I need to resolve this ASAP as these sites are for my largest client and they are loosing busines because they are down.
