posts in Announcements forums

Hi,

How come I suddenly don’t have permission to post in the Announcements forum? As you can see from this post:

http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=5867&page=2#20

I have posted there before, just recently. Suddenly I can’t. This time, I wanted to ask why Win2 went down, as no explanation was given of the problem. A simple question, which can’t be asked now in the right forum.

Please don’t shut us out from posting in the Announcements forums. a) You’re cutting yourself off from valuable feedback, and b) making it harder for us to ask questions.

Are you referring to this? http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=5939

The server had gone through an unexpected shutdown and we had to manually boot it up from the datacenter. That is why it went down.

The problem with feedback in the announcements forum is that the actual announcements can be hard to find. Suppose I make an initial announcement and customers post several new posts. Then I want to make an update… What happens is that it will probably roll onto the next page and when an unregistered visitor reads it, he may not go onto the next page and read the information he should be reading.

So instead, if you ever want to discuss a server outage, use the Outages forum. Everything will be answered, however we just want to keep things a little organised

I have to agree with Yash, the Announcement Forum was looking a bit messy considering it should only contain announcements.

Feedback can be posted in several other forums, Customer Only, Reseller, Shared, etc
No forum is neglected, well except maybe advertisments :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually yeah that makes sense… as long as there’s a place to ask questions, that’s cool. I’ll use the outages forum from now on.

Cheers guys!
