RDP on Window Servers

Can we use RDP to directly connect to a Windows Server?

I’ve tried connecting to a web site that I set up for testing (it has a shared IP address) but it does not recognize my user name and login.

You don’t get RDP access to shared servers. If you really need such an access to setup your application, Windows VPS must be your way to go:
