Is it possible to do these large jobs on a Saturday night instead of Sunday night? Remember, we in Aus are ~12 hours ahead of you, so “11pm to 3am Sunday night” is around 11am to 3pm Monday for us!

This current update is not going to cause much downtime, but it would be hugely appreciated if big jobs that might affect the whole network be done Saturday night your time.

I know that’s no fun for you, I’m sure you have better things to do on a Saturday night… but hey, move down here to sunny Australia and you won’t have to work nights any more! :slight_smile: … is that also an incentive to get the Aus servers happening? :smiley:

Is anything being done tonight becasue the control panels are awful just slow.

Taking forever just to sign up a client.

  1. CP backups are always done at this hour.

  2. No it was not possible to do this on Saturday, I had previous plans for 2 weeks and could not put them off, sorry.

Panels at this end have been slow for the last 3-4 hours, I have been trying to do things and its been awful.

Sites etc. load fine.

antic, maintenance takes place when we have lowest network traffic. its regardless of timezones.

But unfortunately not everyone can be made happy. The downtime is very minimal, i believe not more than 5 minutes per server (less infact)

Regarding the CP, the weekly database vaccum process is performed this time WebDesign.. it doesn’t happen every day but once a week. it should be finished by now and I appologise for the slowness
