The last 2 weeks have just been awful with fraud PayPal orders for Windows VPS accounts. Jodo is this happening with your website also?? I put a warning on my website on the signup pages, but it sure didn’t help. People think its us stealing money from them and calling yelling, till I can calm them down and explain the situation.
2 out of the 4, of the orders were $659.00 each, for a year of VPS. I guess they think being a small unknowed company we setup accounts before we do verifcation. I never set anyone up till I call and verfiy payment info.
What they are doing is moving around using different hosting companies they get to sign them up to trap more people into falling for the PayPal emails scam, hoping people click the CGI link which sends the Login Info back to them. Moving around they never get caught.
Another thing they do is once signup they will send us a fake invoice with tons of links trying to get us to think its a legimate account, in hopes they will get set up. Having all the links, hoping we click one to verify payment, is a way they would get our information, if we fell for the link scam. The invoice doesn’t even look anything like PayPal.
PayPal seems to not care, I tryed to talk to there security department to give them IP address etc., but never hear from them.
