I don’t know about the domains hosted on mail5 from other resellers around here, but we have had so many problems with this servers its getting to be pathetic. I know Jodo does a good job on fixing the issues but this has been out of control.
However you may change the IP of the mail server but this ip remains on the other recipient servers cache and this causes mails to bounce for a larger period of time.
Where I think we should be looking into is the fact that we need to prevent these issues from happening. We signed up a new client 2 months ago and he is ready to leave because, ever since the day he started he has had problems. This does not help us as a start up company specially with all the competition around.
I have 2 questions:
Can a reseller assign a dedicated ip to be used as the mailout ip? Only for his clients?
I I where to purchase a dedicated server from another company or Jodo ( which I am not sure if they are available ) would Jodo be willing to assist us in integrating the server to work with our reseller control panel or on the end user control panel? I don’t even know if this is possible,
We do not need a cluster we are happy with the web services, but mailing has been a bumpy, I am even willing to talk to some fellow resellers about getting a semi dedicated server just for a mailing solution.
regards,
erik
