You cannot connect to any windows server via Terminal Services or Remote Desktop

To upload files, you can use the control panel or FTP

You can upload direct from visual studio I believe, you can also make web folders from your machine to your FTP account.

Just the selected Host Providers.

But, you are right about web folders from local machine to server FTP account
