Is it possible to login into my VPS accounts installation of Plesk via a internet browser (I’m at work) without having a remote desktop application installed?

Yes, you can access the Plesk installation for your WinVPS by using Internet explorer (Any browser) in a way like:
https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443/login.php3
while xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is IP Address for your WinVPS. You can use any of the Ip Address.
