I’ve been told that remote server management is possible.
What I would like to know is: what is not possible with remote management compared to being next to the server itself, in regards to H-Sphere clusters of course (forget hardware replacement and such, I know that already!).
SSH is just like the monitor on console, but networking has to be working.
Terminal Services/Remote Desktop is similar for windows, and using a special command on windows 2003 you can actually access the console screen remote, so it is just like being in front, again networking must be up for it to work.
In case of hardware and networking issuesyou have to relay on DC staff. If you put hardware and network things aside, almost everything else can be done remotely.
