Well besides the fact the SSL only has a warranty of 1000$, and its godaddy :stuck_out_tongue: otherwise no complaints here

Godaddy - 30$ p/year - 1,000$ Warranty
Geotrust (rapidssl.com) - 69$ - 10,000$ Warranty
Comodo (instantssl.com) - 80$ p/year - 100,000$ Warranty

Although Comodo charges 80? + VAT instead of the 80$ if you’re from Europe ;(

The above prices are standard retail prices, you get discounts as a reseller

What’s this Warranty thingy? Can someone explain pl?

EV1Servers sell certificates at 14.95/yr

comodo(psoft owners) have ssl certs for $7.50 and www.cacert.org has them for free

http://www.litessl.com/

does anyone use the shared SSL, on the servers. If Not why not use shared SSL.

because it uses a subdomain of the m****here.biz domain, some people just don’t like that at all(understandable)

Any cons in using that FREE SSL Cert @ www.cacert.org

huumm…yes…I thinking just the same…

There must be…or the other guys would go out of business…but anyway…Im curious too.

Cons would be the browser recognition, internet explorer will give a warning, because cacert can not afford to pay MS to put their root as trusted.

But it is still PERFECT for testing, or personal sites you just want to be in SSL.

Thanks for the info Stephen.

CaCert is free? Whats the catch? does jodo support it? are you being cynical??

Major con would be what Stephen posted earlier about browser recognition
