Search engine indexing problem

Hi,

I’ve noticed something fairly odd. Search engines index the IP address of my site rather than the site name. For example when searching for a particular word it returns the result on page:

123.456.789/somepage.asp

Any suggestions?
Please help!

There are a number of reasons for that, but mostly that someone probably had that IP before you and submittedto some search engines with the IP

So how do I get rid of this? Is there any way I can get the searchengine index my site properly?

I would recommend submitting it to the search engine with the full proper URL.

However, all search engine crawling is GOOD, don’t try to rid yourself of the other method too.
