Sendmail on VPS help needed

Hello All

I just got myself a VPS created at JODO and trying to configure sendmail. I have the following reqirement and i can not seems to get it working.

REQ 1: This needs to be a closed relay runs on port 25. Only the IP address blocks spcified by me should be able to replay.

REQ 2: Not everyone on the granted IP block should relay. I want to restriect the sender by checking MAIL FROM: I want to specifiry the list of domains somewhere and the sendmail should only replay if the MAIL FROM: [email protected], where the domain part is specified in that file.

Is this somehtinf doable with sendmail?

It need to stop the default SMTP service running which is using default mail port ie., 25. You may try it.

You may open a ticket, we will check it.

Prakash, this is Linux VPS :slight_smile:

However you do need to make sure the relay controls are locked down and we will gladly help in a ticket. I’d recommend using postfix or exim from what I have seen more secure and configurable than sendmail (of course I am WINDOWS side for a reason, since I know it best)

Please let me know which one is easy to install and configure out of postfix and exim?
