Server move notice - (Feb 17th - 20th)

As informed earlier, JodoHost is moving it’s servers to a new cloud based elastic/flexible environment in Waco, TX Datacenter. In continuation of the process, we will be proceeding this weekend (Feb 17th - 20th). Based on our experience from the previous migrations, we will attempt to keep service impact as minimal as possible. Hosting control panel service will however be minimally available during below periods:

Thursday 9 PM - Friday 6 AM
Friday 9 PM - Saturday 6 AM
Saturday 6 AM - Monday 7 AM
(* All times are in EST (GMT-5))

We suggest you to do minimal to no changes during this period to their websites and to not plan for or defer any hosting control panel related activity.

We will not be performing any IP Migrations tonight due to the problems with switching earlier in the day and interference with our plans and prep work.
At this point we would be flowing into 7-8am at the best case Scenerio, we will pick up at 9pm promptly tonight.

We will be moving a number of servers here tonight.

Win2, Win3, MSSQL1, Win8 will be given top priority in moving.

The maintenance will be going soon.

Win2 and win3 FTP are DOWN. This is intentional, the servers are on final data sync before moving to the new server.

Control panel has been stopped for IP migration.

mysql1 is being IP migrated.

Services are being stopped on mail2 for IP migration

CF2 is moved, forgot to mention it here but it was on status site.

win2, cf2 , mysql1 and mail2 have been migrated in this batch.
Control panel has been started.

As part of tonights maintenance, MSSQL1 will be down about 1-3 hours for the full file sync. that part hasn’t started yet, but giving notice of that fact.

We have migrated pgsql1 with a few minutes of service downtime, and no cp downtime.

Control panel has been stopped for migration of win3 and win4

MSSQL1 service is being stopped for sync to new server.

win4 has been migrated.

SQL Data is about 50% done, about 50GB of data being moved, going quite well.

win3 is migrated, and control panel is available now.

The mssql service data transfer is completing. We will be doing an upgrade to the latest hotfixes and service packs (which has to be done on the entire master db), and then brining it live, probably 30 minutes to an hours time.

The upgrade is going…

The system databases are updating, this won’t be required on MSSQL2 and 3 tonight, they will be able to bypass this step.
