setup vanilla forum

Hey folks

am trying to setup vanilla -
i just added “index.php” to the “dicrectory indexes” part in the CP, but when i go to www.domain.com/folder/forum OR www.domain.com/folder/forum/index.php i get a “page cannot be found” error.

any ideas?

Is php enabled?
