What kind of switch is so critical that it takes out so many servers/sites when it goes down? I’d expect such a single point of failure to have safeguards or procedures in place to bypass it if it goes bad. It’s been over 2 hours now, any idea how much longer until this all-powerful switch is replaced?

you are posting in multiple forums, we are trying to keep things as orderly as possible, we are working to get the switch ports changed out now.
It is not a core switch, but it is the main switch in the 2nd rack, the timing is partially my fault and the rest now, it is taking time and I am working to get an update. I am not in miami now to do it myself, but we have good people there, however cell phones are DEAD in the datacenter, and i can’t get an update live as I’d like.

it is a switch, it is only partial outage, we are working on it, there is no need to keep shouting.
I am as sick and frustrated as clients about this whole matter, and it will be fixed shortly.

i will be moving my servers to another host due to the REPEATED DELETING OF MY POSTS for support..
We only deleted the posts to you posted in multiple forums, and others were MERGED with this one.
winvps3 and win13 are the main customer facing servers we are still working to bring up, actually they should be up, but are not and we are working to find out if a network cable is not plugged in fully or what may be at fault on them.
CP is responding now, but giving some errors in logins and we are checking into that.
almost there now…just cl2mysql2 is having an issue on the network we are working on!
cl2-mysql2 is still down and we are working urgently on it.
the problem was found, two cables got swapped from ports they were in the change, making for some confusion, mysql2 is up now! the other port was working for the other server, but not for Mysql2 as it needed a special config.

FYI, I’ve been with JodoHost for over 5 years. I was with a LOT of other hosts before that.
EVERY host has problems at times…but I have to tell you that JODOHost is the BEST Freaking HOST I’ve ever found…you will REGRET moving your sites…believe me…NOBODY has better uptime than Jodohost…z

FYI, I’ve had 100% uptime with Jodo for many months out of every year…it is extremely RARE to have an outage like this…But every host will have a problem occasionally…the thing with Jodo is that they have the best techs out there, with tons of experience. JodoHost is unequivably the best web host I’ve ever found…and believe me, I’ve tried a LOT of others…PS. I’ve got like 50 sites with JodoHost and there is no way I’m ever leaving…lol…z
