i am getting mail errors on a bunch of sites
and the sites themselves seem VERY slow or unresponsive.

We are going to be working on testing some software that will allow some faster processing of the data that it is fed, sometimes when you have such huge amounts of data it takes a long time to process. We were on the phone with the NOC and thought it may be a switch issue due to them having multiple ports failing, the issue was more that it was flooding 10 gig circuits at the link level
Not all 10 gigs was making it to the server, as that was only linked at a gig, but over 800mb/s was making it at some points, and killing everyone else. At the same time it was bottlenecking the switches at our side, and all the way up the chain.
While all this DDOS was going on, someone broke into my car while parked at the office and stole my tablet and luggage including some money ($200 in value on money, $399 on tablet)
Breaking my window is the biggest pain with insurance.
