slow network performance from Europe

Hi,
I’m a reseller located in Norway (Scandinavia, EU) and I have experienced slow performance of my sites. My customers have complained about this issue, and i’m not happy either

Just check out these sites:

First two, it takes about 5-6 seconds before the page are rendered. The last one, takes about 3 seconds. I’ve also talked to several person in Europe (Sweden, Germany, Denmark) who visited my sites, and the response time is just the same.

Since I’m not the only person who is complaining about long response time, could the problem rely on Jodohost?

Is it possible to check this on the serverlogs?

It is pretty fast here, the first site is slower loading than the second.

The most help you could provide would be a traceroute, go to start, run, type cmd. In the command window type, tracert web2.magenta-hosting.com

Then either paste here(you can leave the first hop or two off for privacy) or private message me the output.

in CA, USA. The first two are slow. Third one is nice and fast. Third is plain html?

It seems that PHP has slowed on this linux web server (hosting web2). We are investigating it. There is another complaint here. However, the load delay is barely noticable. About 1 second for me

the first 2 take about 10 seconds to load for me. The third is instantaneous.

OK, the issue happens if you are using full paths in your PHP code.

Use relative pathing and it would solve the issue. Refer to this thread:
