smtp authentication still required ?

I’m using ASP.NET with defaultCredentials=“true” and it’s working. Is that ok?

are you using mail.domain.com or localhost?

I’m using mail.domain.com form my machine, that’s why I asked.
I’m currently uploading the app and will try from the web server and let you know if I get the same result.

Ok. Does the server validates with IP or something other than username/password? Because it seems I can use from my local machine even if I see on a trace log that the authorization failed. But I believe it doesn’t work from the web server.

It allows pop before SMTP as authorization to send as well, but is time limited, you are probably seeing this.
