I am not sure what is going on…
One of my client’s today reported him email getting bounced, and now I just got one bounced that I was trying to send to someone else.
So far, Comcast.net and Spamcop.net, to my knowledge, have both blacklisted
64.187.102.253
64.187.103.249
64.187.103.252
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL to have blacklisted email servers. I created a ticket about 6 hours ago and it still has not been replied to!
Firstly, those are not the IPs of our mail servers, they are the IPs of some of our web servers.
We can’t control outgoing email on our web servers as well as we can on our mail servers. Hence we do get blacklisted occasionally due to the behavior of a client. Simply report the IP to us and we are usually able to get it removed within 24 hours.
I am not sure how the other IPs were involved, but I am fairly confident he was not sending from the website – I also manage the site and I do not have and email sending programs on it for him at this time.
It appears my cerebrus post just got answered. I am curious, were you able to pinpoint a problem that can be corrected, or is the potential for blacklisting still likely?
Thanks for hearing me out… I have not had this problem before with Jodo, so I am surely hoping this is an isolated incident. You guys do a great job for so much of what you provide. Typically very fast responses time, and always willing to help…
I am using the same mail server, mail5.m****here.biz as your two domains are and none of my emails are getting bounced back.
Tech support is looking into it and will get back to you.
If our mail server IPs ever get blacklisted by spamcop, we have a system that rotates them automatically to new IPs within 5 minutes. So really I don’t think your mails should continue to be bounced back because of spamcop unless this is a web server.
