spam filter

i have my spam setting set to ‘very aggresive’ and am still getting TONS of spam (and not one ‘spam’ marked email notification).

any tips on what can be done?

thanks

sounds like it just isnt filtering at all?

Instead of “Very aggresive” choose “Aggresive”.

Seems to work much better ?(

and dont post your email address on your site.. that seems to help..

do like

email [@] mydomain dot com

I took the advice to set the Spam Filter from Very Aggressive to Aggressive, however the filter is barely detecting one percent of the spam.

I’m a new user. Is there anything I should do to increase the filter’s effectiveness?

Thanks!

i’ve tried both, and neither seem to work at all.

i agree in principal about not publicizing the email too much in its regular form, but evem if i do, there’s no reason why the filter shouldnt work still.

i’d very much like to hear the admin’s input on this too.

i have it set to the default value and it works… hmm.. must be something specific to your acct.

nope doubt it, i have it on multiple email accounts, on multiple sites.

I’ll try setting the spam filter to Default and see how that performs.

There is sometimes an error where when you change the filter settings it removes any filters, it might be best to submit a ticket with the email address in the ticket(PLEASE NOT HERE, this forum gets spidered all the time), we will verify that the settings are in place for it.
