Special settings per folder

I’ve been trying to find out if this is possible through the control panel or if it’s something that can be done manually or not at all, and haven’t had any luck so far.

My customer is asking if they can have a error page specifically set for two of their folders. Such that anyone going to /folder1 goes to /folder2/folder2404.aspx and /folder2 goes to /folder2/folder2404.aspx. Also, is there a way to force anyone going to either of those folders to be SSL only through the control panel?

Thanks,
-Ben

Per folder this is not an option.

Thanks for the reply. I kind of figured as much given that it is control panel driven.

Stephen,

Can you please explain why those error messages are not available per folder? I know you can set them in IIS in the folder properties under Custom Errors in IIS.

Thanks,
-Ben

I actually don’t know any control panel that allows them per folder, I have seen helm and plesk and they allow, but not per folder basis.

So the issue is just because of the control panel? And since there’s no way to automate it, we can’t put it in manually?

We can do it on a limited basis manually, but any updates may remove them so keep the mail requesting it done handy

Ok, I found out that the only special setting that I need is for someone to go into Directory Security on 2 folders, and click on Require SSL. The rest we’ll take care of with global custom errors and code. I will send the support ticket in now.

Thanks again for all your help. It is greatly appreciated!

Stephen, can you please take a look at ticket #BLS-53043-703 and help the techs out? Apparently I am not explaining myself clearly enough.

Thank you,
-Ben
