I have a client that needs to host an asp.net application which needs to create sql server databases for every new user - is it possible to do this on a shared windows or VPS windows server or some combination of both - for ex. the site to be on a shared hosting and sql server on a VPS?

on a VPS with MSDE/SQL Server Express this could be done, it can’t be done in a shared environment.
