I’ve set up a pair of webcams to monitor bluebirds nesting in my yard and now I want to stream the video to my kids’ schools, friends, etc. I have the setup working locally with VLC (videolan.org). Before I share the URL I want to make sure this doesn’t violate the TOS here.
The setup is as follows:
Local VLC server streams to the net over my home 'net connection on two ports I opened in my firewall
Via DynDNS, I set up name resolution to my home IP & ports
The web page uses an embedded Windows Media Player to view the video stream.
My take on the flow of video packets is that they never pass through JodoHost’s servers. The client loads the web page from the server here, then loads the stream from my home IP. Video streams directly from my home to the viewer. Right?
I just want to be sure so I don’t get a surprise “you are kicked off” message!
Thanks,
Tim
