Ticket Response Time?

Not complaining, as the issue at hand seemes to have been dealt with long ago, but…

I just got an email today (2011/07/27) in regards to ticket #HZF-76164-868, which stated “It is fixed. Please check now.”

The only thing is that the original ticket was placed (and the problem fixed, as far as I could tell) on 2011/03/07.

Did poor Abhishek get stuck in a timewarp, was the email stuck in limbo for 4+ months, or did the ticket system simply decide to finally spit this out? Perspiring minds want to know…:stuck_out_tongue:

Actually matter was fixed with mail server migrations, a matter we had little control over before as the IP owner was uncooperative, we are now on ‘owned’ IP blocks and have better control on this. He had seen it and wanted to ensure it was replied. We’ve had a number of tickets and any cleared out is a good thing.

We are already aware of this ticket and it is finally fixed after sever migration. We didn’t ignore this ticket.

Understood; as I mentioned, the problem seemed to be fixed long ago; the post was simply intended to communicate the time lapse just in case it indicated any latent issues and to express the humor I found in the situation.

Thanks all for the great service, as always and the fast and complete explanation.

We did a workaround long ago, but the base IP was still listed and not to be unlisted according to the list operator due to the upstreams lack of response and what is called ‘snowshoe’ spam operations.
So, we applied a workaround of moving to another IP range, but not a full fix, now the base IP is firmly in our control and we are striving daily to clear off the spammers that undoubtedly to invade any hosting operation at times.
