I’m seriously looking at signing up with JODOHOSt. i just have a question. Is it possible to automate transfer of accounts from Hspere to JODOHOST’s hsphere system. As i have a client who has 250 email addresses and i really can’t ask him to create all of them again. If this is possible i would be willing to sign up with jodohost right away.

Could you please advise those of us considering moving H-Sphere accounts from one host to Jodohost how to start?
I think it would be helpful for those who want to move, but have serious concerns due to our lack of experience doing something like this.
For starters, what considerations do I need to give to billing for clients who pay monthly with their credit card? I imagine they will have to cancel their current hosting account and sign up again once my move to Jodohost is complete.
Is it possible to recreate our customers email accounts for them? It seems to me that I would need their password. Is that password available to me?
There’s more I’m sure, but I’ve never done this before so I don’t know. Any help from anyone with experience is greatly appreciated.

First, you’ll need to recreate all your accounts in your reseller account with us. We can do a batch account creation for you if you create us a list of accounts in the desired format
Next once the accounts domains and resources are created, you can ask your customers to move your files or we can directly import those files from your old host (after you give us FTP details) if you wish, but at a price (contact sales).
After that, databases. For MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, you’ll need to request a database dump and we can restore them for you locally. For MSSQL databases, we’d need the details and we could do a DTS import
What about email accounts, my main problem is i have one customer who has 250 email accounts.
They’ll have to be recreated. Our team can do that for you but you’d need to contact sales to let you know what it would cost
But either your customer will have to provide passwords or we’d have to put temporary ones
Is this something that might be possible for resellers to do if the H-Sphere XML API thing ever gets to working?
Hsphere XML api is working and it can be used
But you can’t retrieve acc information from your old host unless they have it enabled too
Indeed if they have it enabled you could use it to recreate the accounts. However everybody’s password would probably be reset.
Therefore you’d have to mail people’s new mail password to their old mailbox automatically or something similar.
