Trying to get it to work (newbie alert)

Hi all!

Just created my trail account, uploaded my website, enabled directory indexes with the proper Default.asp, but my site won’t load. Not with www.domain.com , nor with www.domain.com/Default.asp

Where am i going wrong?

Have you waited long enough for DNS propogation? If not, try using your instant domain alias.

I’m trying under my instant domain alias.
If i try a regular textfile it gets loaded fine.
http://www.domain.com/index.html loads fine
http://www.domain.com/index.asp gets a 404 (yes, the file is there)
http://www.domain.com gets a 404 whether the directory index is set on or off and, if on, to index.asp or index.html doesn’t really matter.

Looks like it’s not. Cannot find where to switch it on. ?(

In your control panel, click Web Options and then click the red OFF button beside ASP. The page should then reload and the button will then be green and say ON.

Found the problem. I’m on the wrong box. I created an account on WinCF assuming (based on a pre-sales chat) that only ASP.Net and FP were not supported. Found out on http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=2389&highlight=enable+ASP that neither ASP nor ASP.Net are supported.

Sent an e-mail to support to move me over to an ASP box.

If you are on WinCF, it doesn’t support ASP. Only Cold Fusion MX, PHP and perl
