Unable to delete email only puts line through with IMAP

When I try to delete a email in my imap account, it does not delete the email only puts a line through it does not remove it… how do i purge it

You need to click on the button “purge deleted” to delete such mails.

There is no PURGE in outlook or other mail client only the web one this is happening in OUTLOOK not the web version.
