Updates on Twitter @Jodohostcom

Since we got a squatter on our name, we are @Jodohostcom if you want to start following.

I’m look at you antic :juggle:

We’ll work on some possible integration with forums in the future, but right now, not the case.

The RSS is at http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/132992283.rss for the non-followers among us…

good good  I am not much of a twitter fan myself which I guess led to my reluctance to use it, but for status updates on the fly it is quite good I will admit

Hey, I’m the first follower… I win! OK, I win nothing but its almost midnight and my mind is mush.

Dang I wish my mind would go to mush and I could sleep soundly!

It’s the “hm, I’ll just check that quickly before I go to bed” syndrome that gets me around midnight every night. My mind decides to wake up again and at 2am I’m still wide awake and no chance of getting a good night’s sleep.

The feed proved very useful. A client woke me up with an inquiry about mysql7 and I had the info right in front of me without having to go searching the forum… hope you guys thinking of doing that for all outages.
(and hope you found a plumber… that incident doesn’t exactly fill with me confidence, I have to say.)

Issue has been reported already to Coresite’s Technical manager at Miami Exchange.

We’ve already emailed everyone about migrating servers on both clusters, and this really was eye opening.

I just got off the phone with coresite and they found the place it is coming from, and it isn’t exactly a leaking drip, but basically the AC conduit is doing this.

It is hitting the upper lip of the rack and then going down, it happened over a very long period of time not just in the last weeks. They would like me off of it in the next month so that conduit and AC wiring and be replaced, well we can probably do that.

I’ll be getting a list of servers on this rack to Tanmaya here today and we’ll be evaluating what needs to be moved and when, and how it can mesh with our schedule.

We’ll of course be updating everyone on this as well, via email and forums, and twitter will be reserved for more up to the second things, not really advanced notice.

Coresite is actually having an electrician in on Monday to add a new circuit and get this swapped ASAP even if we will move off of it in a month.

We will have to schedule a lot of reboots next weekend for this.
