Upgrade to new resource levels for existing resellers?

I noticed that new customers get 4.5 Gig of space and 65 Gig traffic.
I am a pay-per-month customer paying the same amount for 4 Gig / 60 Gig traffic. Is there any plan to auto-upgrade existing customers?
If I open a ticket to request to be upgraded, would there be a charge?
Is the only way to get the better resources to leave JodoHost, then come back in as a new customer?

hello,

You can send a mail to sales to get the new resources but not there are plan changes that allowed us to do this including limited number of free CF domains and IP pricing.

Just to add some in Stephen Post :-

  1. There is no extra charge for changing plans.
  2. If you agree to get updated resources, all the new additional charges will also be applicable.

for more details you may write at sales @ Jodohost.com

You mean that you maintain two different pricing models now for the same reseller products?

[li]How do you communicate this?
[/li][li]What are the exact included resources for the old and the new plans?
[/li][li]What are the charges for additional resources for the old and the new plans?
[/li][li]Is there a (hidden) feature page for the old plans?
[/li][/ul]

From my point of view this is not making it easy!

Best regards,
Jan-Pieter

First of all there is nothing like “Hidden” all features / prices / support, we have posted all the details at our website as well as forums.

  1. If you have any question regarding your hosting package / resources you can ask us on live chat or write us at sales

  2. Check Old Plans and all new plans has been posted at www.Jodohost.com

  3. Additional resources details and prices have been mentioned at both pages, new and old packages pages. If you have any specific question regarding the same, let us know.

Note :: Increased additional resources prices are not applicable to our old customers using old packages, they can get their account upgraded to next level according to their old packages.

I have 2 customers wanting to move their sites to a different server because of problems over a long period with wi28 and win30 as outlined here: http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=14921

At the moment Win30 is the latest windows server so its not much i can do from my side for them.
Possible solutions are to request move to a prior server eg, win27 or switch my reseller account to cluster2.

Can someone please outline whats involved in switching to cluster2(not just recieve cluster2 rescources).
DNS?
Nameservers?
Downtime?
Customers downtime?

One customer is not a complainer, but has mentioned this sparodically over last few months and now wishes his site moved.
Any other options you can suggest?

There is no need to switch to cluster2, everything is the same on versions etc.

Win30 has had a few issues but doing quite well of late, win28 I am going to be spending a lot of time on since the upgrade is past.

Things like this come and go, win13 used to be a pain, now it is a solid server with no changes in hardware etc, just getting the 3-4 abusers off and it hasn’t had new accounts in a while but it is steadily increasing in traffic every month.

Win28 needs a couple people that are abusing resources at times booted off, I know that, but it takes 1-2 weeks of profiling to RESOLVE such a case for a long term. I will be investing that time over the next weeks.

Hi Stephen, I respect what your saying, but the customer expects their site to responsive NOW.

Here is their message to me, :
Since we last talked, there are still frequent times
when the runs very slow and times when no pages will load at all.

I would like to move it to a different server and hopefully correct
these problems. Can you help me with this?

you can pick any server and we’ll move it there, I frankly don’t care on that.

Win30 was just turned off a few weeks ago, win29 is on now(it was not used ever for signups)

There is an inherent risk in picking the latest server for signups IMO as more spammers, more abusers, more risk as we can’t police every reseller signup.
A good 80% of the time most of the issues come on the server that is sitting there for signup.

win5 on cluster2 has had a number of intensive DDOS attacks one of them over 13,000 IPs brute forcing FTP.

This guys on 28, I have sent him message reinforcing Hsphere upgrade and to give it a little longer.
