Hi all,
I’ve just setup a VPS account and got logged in via SSH, but I’m not sure where to go next. I assume Linux is already installed? I’d like to install an FTP server and PHP. How do I go about installing things, etc.
Is there already a GUI installed? Is it possible to install and use VNC so I don’t have to do everything from the command line?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! thx!

You can install it from here:- http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/3.5/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/

No, You have to install it yourself.

Better you install “Webmin” it make your work easier.

I got Webmin installed ok. It seems to do what I need. However, I would like to get a regular GUI installed also. Do you have any suggestions on a good/easy one??
