While we very much, as always, appreciate your ongoing efforts in keeping the severs alive and kicking, I think it would be good to be a little more detailed about outage reports. It’s good to know what’s going on with the servers… as an example:
http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=6919
Report: “Mail3 is not working at the moment, we are working to make it up.”
Resolution: “Everything on Mail3 is back now and all services are running fine.”
and
http://support.jodohost.com/showthread.php?t=6920
Report: “Win11 is not responding at the moment. We are looking into it and will give an update soon.”
Resolution: “Win11 is already running fine for a while now. We rebooted while fixing the issue.”
If the issue is known, please post what it is exactly, so if there’s anything significant to be discussed or kept in mind, we are all kept aware of it, and also so we know that you know what’s going on too. “Server is down” / “server back up again” really should not become the standard for communicating technical issues to clients.
Cheers guys and thanks for all your hard work as always!!
I agree. If I have to tell a client that there is a problem I would like to at least give them some indication as to what the problem was. If I just say it was down it takes away all credability between me and my clients. As far as me and Jodo are concerned I have complete faith that all problems will be resolved quickly.
Hey no sweat. I’ve just seen a few of those kind, and just wanted to voice a friendly reminder that we often do need the details. I’m sure it’s not worth the effort to chase this up after the event, but thanks for the response!
We do have faith in you guys, and you’re always there to help. This wasn’t to imply anything to the contrary, just a minor point of note.
Mail3, someone got a major number of bounces(many thousands) and sent the load sky high, making the server unresponsive.
I am checking on win11 now and will post when I can, I just saw this post and am going to check into what happened.
