web2 not responding - stopped major DDOS attack

web2 is not responding over network. we are looking into it.

There is a major DDOS attack that is taking web2 offline, we are working to stop the attack.

looks to have a lot of source IPs coming in, we are working to resolve ASAP.

The majority of the sources are blocked now, and the server is up. The attack was targeted on the main shared IP which meant we could not issue a null route to that IP for a temporary measure.

and…it is back again with more IPs at full force…working on blocking more now!

and blocked those(and server up), we are keeping a close watch on it.

No problems now since the last post, looks to be blocked. We are also adding a rule to help prevent this in the future, it will help in limited cases.
