Well it’s been over 5 hours (since the last psot) and my site (fullmetalgaming.com)is down. I can only see the web utilities screen… I have already reported this via the Live CHat.
this issue has nothing to do with web2. Please submit a ticket and we’ll look into it right away
the site in question on web2 is now suddenly pointing to the default hsphere homepage (the one with links to webshell 3, control panel, db utilities, etc.)
Submitted a trouble ticket (works now - THANKS!), i’m wondering if the domain can be moved to a different server so we can avoid these problems all together
We disabled a totall of 6 sites due to excessive resource usage. Those sites are being transfered off web2 and you’ll be informed shortly by email.
Thanks Yash, the site in question was moved OK, except part of someone else’s website was put in the root directory instead of the corresponding site !! maybe a bug in HSphere? I submitted a ticket asking if it there is a faint possibility that the files still exist on Web2 because some of them were setup by web interface so backups of the content doesnt exist.
Thanks for the prompt attention guys! I know it’s an inconvenience for us customers but it must be quite an annoyance to have users using the servers as development platforms…

I saw your ticket, it does look to be an hsphere issue, as hsphere actualy manages the file move, I have never heard of that happening. First time for everything.
What do you mean setup by web interface, as it webshell/web editor and owned by httpd?

setup by web interface provided in the scripts that were uploaded by ftp (like CMS) - the worst part, the customer doesnt have HIS OWN backups of any of the files to begin with (ACK!) since apparently it was a combination of open source CMS and gallery and several other scripts which were combined into it using webshell to edit the scripts.
so is it possible those files still exist? – i already ‘scolded’ the customer for not having backups, so i just have my fingers crossed about it.

Thanks… I do think this is a HSphere issue because nothing was done interim to make the files get deleted from the new or old server.
The customer has already begun to redo the site, but this could be an issue in the future - in particular because parts of someone else’s website was copied into the new directory instead of the new site – it was a website in portugese, no less.
I have placed backup from old server in the user’s account on new server.
