WEB5 Issues? SLOW?

Are there any issues with WEB5 at the moment.

Site www.softechsystems.com is taking foreever to load and it is a simple page.

I am on chat and they say there is no problem… but I am getting problems from 2 geographically different locations AND 2 different ISP’s (ADELPHI and COX).

Can anyone confirm this.

Oh… and all other web sites on the other servers are fast as can be. Just this simple web site on web5 with issues.

Ok… live helpdesk found a cron job from another user going wrong. The helpdesk tech stopped it.

However my concern is if it is a cron job, won’t it just come back and do this again. How can I assure my client this will not return tomorrow?

And something else that distrubs me is I was told several times there was not a problem. They indicated that they tested it and it was fine, but I knew it was NOT fine. Until I insisted and gave multiple levels of proof… they finally stated there was an issue.

It makes me wonder whether or not the help desk person even tried to load the page and see if there was an issue.

I know there are many folks that hit the helpdesk and probably are experiencing issues on their end or somewhere on the net between the sites, but someone should really test a problem before saying it is fine. There was an obvious problem that could easily be reproduced over and over on this one site.

Thanks for listening.

The user seems to have removed the cron, but we will still monitor the server.

For helpdesk issue:
I confirmed with Akshay, it opened up in 3 secs for him for the first time. He is using Firefox with Fasterfox, so probably i guess he got a cached data mostly. When you insisted he did a hard-refresh and there he saw the issue. This is what happened. I agree it could have been dealt better and faster. I apologize and have already talked to Akshay about this.
