Hellooooooooooooooooo???
Support system is up! Web6 went down again, putting a ticket in.
WebD,
Neeraj was trying to fix a MAJOR problem on web2 and web6, he has to stop apache restart, then start again, he was supposed to post but i have him on the phone, working on the servers and calling Tanmaya all the same time, so he forgot. I was also working on 3 issues at the time and did nit make it here.
This was a VERY serious issue with major implications if it continued.
There have been a lot of bad things happening online recently with DDoS attacks and such, some incoming, this time some were going out thru a compromised script ![]()
SOrry and understand. I had that new guy on the reseller account not happy about the mail on mail 1 on cluster2, I know this morning when he gets up and that mail is still not working im sure hes going to leave. He left ourinternet.us becasue the mail problems were terrible adn took over 6-7 days or weeks to get mail.
Then web6 went down, phone started ringing about that and I couldn’t get answers, just wish someone would of said something on live chat or something, I could of came back. I still can’t get answers about the mail server, and another 6 hours as gone by.
mail1 on cluster2 is fine, there was just a DNS issue as can happen many times when servers change.
Yep we got it fixed before he got up. Some of the techs didn’t know what was wrong, it took Patrik about 5 min. to fix it. The other guys just kept telling me we are looking into it.
He ask me about the Postmaster address, can it be deleted or discard the mail?? I tryed to do this Hsphere didn’t let me. He said he gets tons of spam on this address and the box will fill up fast.
I doubt you can get rid of postmaster. I believe you are required to have that per RFC.
Correct postmaster can’t be rmeoved per RFC requirements.
What about discard option, the discard option works in cluster1, but not cluster2 for the postmaster address??
It is due to a different version and the RFC spec, thr was acutally some discussion of it on their forums.
Can it be tweaked to work?
