We have a website that has not been working consistently for the last 24 hours. It is on the Windows Server that was recently migrated from Win17 to Win19. When the site was moved, it was down for 48 hours due to the move. Our client has a presentation on the website this morning and the site is alternating between an ASP script TimeOut and an ODBC time out error.
We have two sites that were moved to Win19 and both are having issues this morning.

interesting, we have been checking it and not seeing it down, and server side on the MS SQL it is much better, before one users queries from two servers sharing a DB were making a block. I won’t get into it all a bit back and forth but, to make some temporary relief of the situation I decided to add the two cores, since then we’ve gone from a CPU usage average of over 80% down to 4%, and the SQL server has been responding well to us at admin level and all the domain tests as well since then.
Both sites that I have on Win19 and MSSQL5 are down again this morning. I opened ticket [SIZE=11px][FONT=Tahoma]GOX-65412-939[/FONT][/SIZE] to get this resolved. Yesterday I e-mailed helpline@ to get some answers and they never responded to my questions in that e-mail so I don’t have any faith that they will do anything so I am posting here.
I need this resolved today. I need all of our databases moved off of MSSQL5 and I need it done today and then I need a phone call when it’s complete so that I can change the connection strings. When the database is moved, make sure all users are moved over and the SQLView access is set for the users that has that allowed.
The sites have been up and down intermittently. They were up two minutes ago. I refreshed the page and now it’s down. I’m off to start cooking, but need to be informed when this is resolved.

There must be some type of systemic problem on Win 19. I have one site there (wordpress site) that has been down multiple times in the last few days. I have sent tickets in and the site comes back up each time..but then goes down again.
Win19 is having multiple attacks, not DDOS attacks but craft attacks on some sites and their content
I am making a 2008 server to move it over to already now, but yes there are attacks and we are working to stop them, but 2003 is limited in ability.
At this point any 2003 server is part of ‘systemic problem’ really as they have so many points of little control. We are working to get off it ASAP but more and more attacks coming at it, and its starting to really make some problems in slowing down servers and services.
The Win39 issue was something entirely different, essentially a DDOS so large it bogged down some major routers in Dallas
Stephen is there any update on the 2008 server and win 19? at least one site that I have on win 19 has been down more than it has been up for the last week or two. I have put in multiple tickets and they have all been responded to… but this just keeps happening and it is impacting my business.
Are there any other alternatives to moving off of win 19?
