Well, Yash, thats very good. From here (UK) the UK site is 0.7344 and Win8 is 0.8887 Sometimes though the Win8 is over 5 secs!! The SQL Server is mssql4.stamfordwebservices.net, so MSSQL4? I’ve just added a new charity site for rapid response trauma teams (docs who help disaster victims) as www.m-i-s-t.org and that is on Win8 too (and MsSQL4) , and yesterday was quite slow (quicker today).
Atul - I know how good your support is - it’s the best there is. It’s just hard trying to justify all this to businesses which just want to know why their sites are slow. I’m always extolling the virtues of Jodo to people I meet, but then bang goes my credibility when sites are slow and unresponsive.
Rob, this is what I am getting from speed test of your win8 site using hostpulse speed test. UK host site is currently not responding to their test, so I can post its results:

According to hostpulse results, your site on win8 ranks top 5 in speed.
Those figures look really good. Perhaps it’s just that Win8 has so may sites that at busy times it must slow down?? Today, Saturday (1050GMT here) is a slack day I suppose.

She says that it the mornings it’s so slow she gives up.
Today, all the sites are nice and fast and the FTPing is reliable too. Yesterday the FTP prog kept stopping saying it couldn’t open a data connection. Anyway, my wife says she’s going to keep a log of how responsive her site is.
In the meantime, I’m happy all is well. Lets hope it stays like this. Many thanks to Yash, Atul and Stephen for all the time you’ve spent on this.

Just as a FYI, soop has a few slow tendencies, sometimes it does this in general, being highly ASP based can cause minor slowdowns at time, then they pick back up in speed.
Thanks Stephen - I’m in Phoenix right now and no noticeable speed differences. I think you’re right about SooP (pages load from 0.2334 to 7.387 secs - of course the hotel WiFi plays it’s part too) Does Coppermine also suffer the same sort of slowdowns?

Is this a record - 13.5625 seconds! All other (non JoDo) sites very very fast.
Can you explain what is involved moving this site to another server (eg Win14)?
Just submit a ticket requesting a move, it will be confirmed, you need to confirm again, and the move will start.
