I would better do it by myself, create a new account and transfer the domain to new account, if I knew it was gonna end up like this 
You are not the only client they have. Things take time. Be patient.
PS. The last host I had took up to 4 wks to transfer my web sites to a better server and the sites were down for most of that time. Your 24 hours is awesome compared to 4 wks.
Server moves can have problems that happen.
