From Kawal I came to know the site you are referring to is hosted on web6.
FYI, there is not a single alert notification of an error today for web6.
Can you tell me what you see at your end when you try to browse the websites?
Also, if possible, please post ping/trace results.
Ever think there could be a problem with your ISP so everything at Jodo seems slow to you but it’s not really Jodo’s fault? I think Stephen and the rest of the support would notice if anything was down.
I dont think so, when a client calls I check also and notice things are down, and they arent even in the same state as me the ones that have been contacting me.
Thought I’d add something here. I’ve had a few sites running slowly but I do not believe any have gone down. I saw this post and your CP issue post. I’ve had no issues with the CP in quite some time. It’s working here in CA. As for the web sites, I found a couple reasons for these issues:
There seems to be some latency near or in the Jodo network.
I have a few sites with Comodo SSLs and the sites are having issues loading the javascript for the site seals because of some slowness or down time on Comodo’s end.
If you leave a browser open, loose your connection, and try to connect sometimes it will seem like a web site is down. Try closing and reopening your browser or rebooting.
WebDesignSlave (good name by the way! many of us are…) have you checked http://www.jodopulse.com/? all seems good there. I also use a monitoring service and have not been alerted to any outages. It’s possible both you and your client are hopping on the same bad router somewhere. Could it be a programmatic issue? Post a domain that is down for you and I’ll check it from California.
Lastly, I’d have to agree with some others, more information is critical to help you with this issue. Post a tracert/ping or give us more details on what down means.
We have seen no consistent down for a while. And we do have sites in almost every server at Jodo, and we monitor them all.
Really sounds like your local access ISP could be the problem. When we have this kind of thing, first thing we do is to connect via another provider… and preferably via dial-up.
Another thing we do is go into Messanger and ask people all over the country and world, to check it out.
have you tried that? Maybe it could help in isolating where the problem is.
If via dial-up you still see sites down… and people on Messanger in other places also see a down… Well, then you could definately say Jodo is losing business, which would be highly unusual, but worth finding out.
