Yup. I feel for the folks at the Datacenter. I also feel for my customers, as this hit at 11:00AM on the Friday before a major 4-day holiday weekend; the time when EVERYONE is relying heavily on email.
The scum that engineered this attack make me wish for very un-holiday like things to happen to them…

That sucks… I feel bad for you folks who have clients where it’s worktime right now.
This always happens around holidays, damn bastards, they need to get a damn life and leave us hard working folks alone. I gurantee you it was kids.
I am not sure who it was but it was a HUGE attack from many sources we will be putting together an email here before too long with a bit more info and some plans to handle it in the future.
I’d not be surprised however to learn it was a lot of college networks with zombie PCs due to trojans/virii/warez but i am nt pointing any fingers as the attacks were still coming early this morning but being filtered our by the carriers they were coming in from(basically all of them)
