What is happening to JodoHost? ?( When i first signed up the service was excellent,but recently there are little things which are really frustrating.
For example, scripts being blocked due to some kind of security issue and the server keeps going down really frequently for small periods. The control panel is also very slow and i have had complaints about this from my customers. Not major issues but very niggling.
Recently, i tried to install WHMCS and now i am being told that to get the ticket piping to work i need to resign up and move each file over manually, which i am really not to keen to do, which as you can imagine can be very frustrating on a server which is very iffy.
I am starting to think that maybe i should give up with JodoHost and go else where.
We have had no server matters of any length for many months, nor do we have small outages regularly.
As for the security, it sounds like you are on unix, and mod_security is catching some items, submit a ticket regarding these and they will work it out with you. mod_security is a staple in most every host because of the sheer number of hack attampts every moment of the day. Wtihout mod_security there would be hacked accounts on an hourly basis, and I mean this quite literally, we block many thousands of attacksdefacements on windows and linux together.
It sounds to me the biggest issue you are having is related to mod_security.
Now for the mail piping, some piping is simply not possible with hpshere as it expects the mail server t be the web server.
That being said, why are you trying to use WHMCS with Hsphere? None of the feautes of it will function with Hsphere.
I looked for technical details on how whmcs does its “piping” on their site but was unable to find.
The problem on some piping methods is they actually want to “dip into” the mail queue/service, this is not possible in the hpshere environment setup where mail/web/database are all different servers. Some apps piping just means a special parameter set on the address, still others check via pop/imap and have no problems at all.
What means does WHMCS have to check mail, does it have an imap/pop3 method?
ok I do see the issue here, yes it should work on cluster2 network, and will work after cluster1 is upgraded which will not be more than 3 months away, hopefully much sooner.
The issue is that the developers removed a feature fr the the mail server that is preventing the function you have given from working. Here on the forums there was another issue such as that which was resolved in the manor which was given by technical support.
