What should I do?

This morning, our server went down, still not sure what happened, but since we only run one site on it, everything was inaccessible.

I got on Live Help and after about 20 minutes, they said it was the SSL and all was working again.

I have not touched anything on the server for the last week.

Before hanging up Live Chat, I tested our site, all worked fine except for all of the SSL pages.

I notified the support tech I was within online in the chat. They told me to send a ticket in right away and they knew it was not working but it would be very soon. So I did that and pasted the ticket ID number in the chat window. Ended session.

3.5 hours later, I get a response stating they did not understand and wanted me to explain in more detail.

I got a quick response saying that I had to reinstall the SSL all over again. I replied back to them and it has almost been another 2 hours without a response.

I still do not know what I need to do, what happened or what the original problem was? I think it is quite important that I know this, especially when it involves an SSL and since I am on a smei-dedicated server.

I realize everyone has good days and bad days, but this just can not happen. We have not been able to receive any subscriptions or orders on our site now since about 8:30 this morning.

I am checking into this now.

Maybe your SSL provider went down, this happened to me once, but got fixed after a couple hours.

Your non-SSL pages should work.

Non SSL do work, but SSL is not working, I am on the matter now.

I have the SSL working now.

Thanks! Moving you back up to my number one techie guru again!

I found a DOS attack on this server while I was working on it as well, there were over 12k connections from one IP :frowning: Had to stop it as well.

WoW!!

I just went to check our awStates but it seems they are down as well - not sure if this is from the attack or from the SSL issue.

These darn Dos attackers!!

That is fixed now, sorry for the problems.

Thanks, Stephen!!
