Suddenly Mail services at Jodo have gone from bad to worse.
How come?? You’ve always been brilliant…
Please let me know the issue
Yesterday Mail 1 was taking over 1-2 hours for people to get mail. I guess it was a que built up, can you please double check it and make sure it wasn’t something else, so it don’t happen again. Client was getting the following error.
Receiving’ reported error (0x800CC0F): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

Yep, I’m seeing that one this morning, also. It does seem like email has been problematic this last couple of weeks. Webmail is up and down, frequently disconnected, and this connection error via Outlook…
Zarro,
What server are you seeing this error on?? If this happens agian today this client is going to kill me, I assure her it was fixed…

Well, I thought it was Mail1, but if it’s the one that shows in Hsphere under “Mail relay”, then it’s “mail2.jodoshared.com”…
No I believe Mail relay is where the mail goes if the other server is down. Go to >> Domains then Edit then DNS Configuration this will show what mail server you are using.
WebD, less than a sec to/from gmail right now.
Hi Tanmaya,
I am not having any issues today, this was yesterday, she was getting the error. I see Zarro is getting the error now, I wonder if it is Mail1 again.
I have had my clients set their timeouts to maximum (10 minutes). This has helped, but timeouts and disconnections are still being reported.
Delivery delays on mail1 are also running 1 to 2 hours.
One client, yesterday, reported just receiving mail sent to her on August 30 and 31 on Mail3
Manopb and WebD, i was telling the current status and I’m sure aware of yesterday’s delay.
I’m looking at timeouts now.
My clients are experiencing delays today of about one hour (sending and receiving). They are hawks when it comes to watching their email. They will accept that email is not instantaneous, but they won’t accept one hour delays. After putting in a new mail server last week, what is the problem now?
After this has happened several times over the last few weeks, they are ready to jump to another provider.
The following error showed on the jodopulse.com status site:
Error: Connection timed out. (Socket error: 10060) 0 ms (Code: 10060) Downtime=0h 0m
Mail1 had some false alerts on jodopulse today.
We did alot to correct mail1 timeout issues, and we believe it is performing well now. Mail3, mail4 and mail5 haven’t had any issues, at least none have been reported.
I understand mail1 has been troublesome the past 2 weeks. But we should have that all fixed up as of the last upgrade we did
If you are experiencing issues with webmail, please use http://www.hspheremail.info for the time being. That will be the new webmail address in the near future
Once again, mail3, mail4 and mail5 are normal.
Yes Mail1 has been having issues and we have spent alot of time and money trying to solve this issue. We continue to do so.
We have gone through 3 hardware upgrades and spent alot of admin time working on it. We are committed to having it running as smoothly as the other servers
smells like a server migration there.. clean install fresh hardware. then the mail1 server can be used for something else.

There is no possible issue that could have caused incoming mail to be delayed for 2 months ![]()
It must have been on the sending end or the time stamp must have been wrong.

No. Tanmaya is working on it. It is a software design issue, not a configuration issue, that we are running into.
We are working on it with PSOFT. If the issue continues, we plan to migrate about some of the domains off to mail5 or mail6. That should solve the issue.
We already migrated about some domains off mail1. We migrated jodohost.com off mail1 today as it did have alot of mail activity. we were using mail1 upto this point and honestly i really wasn’t having any major issues with my email. My laptop connects every 5min to my email account, my cellphone every 15min. Was working out fine
Mail migrations are painless. Those that use external DNS however would need to update MX records.
Here’s an idea of what we are dealing with:
[12:09 PM] tanmaya: Yash this is not normal
[12:09 PM] tanmaya: what is going on with mail1
[12:09 PM] Yash: ok
[12:10 PM] tanmaya: these is something exhaustign connections and the more space u create, the more easy it is to do more
[12:10 PM] Yash: ok
[12:10 PM] tanmaya: i’ll explain in a while
[12:10 PM] Yash: ok
temackey please provide me headers for today. Thanks
headers sent on a pm.
