It has been 6 days since I have had a response on the ticket and the ticket was originally opened on October 8th with still no resolution.
And it has been almost a month since a reply was last given to my forum post about the problems. I have requested a number of times for help and nothing since Oct 26th and it is now Nov 23rd.
I am a very patient person, but this has become unacceptable. It is also very unprofessional and very poor customer support to not respond to a customers requests or at least give updates.
I don’t expect a response on Thanksgiving day, but I do expect to get a response by tomorrow. There is no reason for this sort of poor service and it is quite honestly out of character in comparison to the service levels I normally receive.
Has Jodo just decided they cannot figure out what the problem is therefore we will just ignore the problem and the customer in hopes he will just go away and forget there was a problem???
Please provide the courtesy of responding not only to this email, but to my original problem.
Sorry again. It was me who delayed the ticket (and not the JH support team). You’ll get quick updates from here on.
Forums, i cant browse everyday so please dont rely on it.
How often does this happen now? There is nothing I can do here for this, but I can tell you I see such errors even on large large websites that run on clusters of servers like webhostingtalk, channel9(msdn site, SQL Server errors on connect), and many others, basically I am saying how often do they happen, anytime you have active sites it is not something you want, but it may and will occasionally happen.
This client doesn’t have anything busy like those sites. This client has several wordpress blogs and a joomla/smf site that is very, very low usage. Like I said previously… wordpress, joomla and smf were all reporting similar errors intermittantly.
I don’t believe they should EVER see this messages on such small sites (in comparison to the sites you mentioned). I have several sites like this elsewhere that NEVER give a error and they have way more traffic.
Because these errors were happening anywhere from 1 to 10 times a day by just doing simple posts or simple blog reads it became very problematic for my client and myself… And this was when my client caught it. Who knows how many times it happened when my client’s customers went to the site. A few complained to them and reported the error, but I am sure not everyone will actually tell them about it.
It looks like Tanmaya is now responding to the ticket so I will follow up there, but we really should not be seeing these issues… not for these sites. Now if Jodo’s mySQL3 server is overloaded then I would expect the problems, but in the past JH has been very good about not letting a server become overloaded.
My client has been so irritated she has quit sending me email. I’ve got to get her to start sending me the exact times and errors again as they happen.
MySQL3 server has been closed for signups many months back. I’m not sure where you got the idea of overloading even when i provided you with server load average stats. Anyways there is no overload situation. Was it a busy site causing this, i would have straight away mentioned. I did mention and infact got disabled a site that was really bad on MySQL, but there has been nothing bad since then.
I understand how your client may be feeling at this point, so let me know as and when you get the response, no rush from my end. The ticket wont be taken off queue until then.
